Deputy Ministers Le Thi Thu Hang
Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang was born in 1972 in Hanoi. Joining the diplomatic service in 1996, she has held various positions related to press affairs, external information, and overseas Vietnamese affairs.

Bachelor's degree in Russian Language from Hanoi University of Foreign Languages (now Hanoi University).

Bachelor's degree in English from Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Master's degree in International Communications and Diplomacy from the University of East Anglia (UEA), United Kingdom.

Has led several scientific research projects and initiatives in the fields of press and external information.
Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang began her diplomatic career in 1996 (at the Press and Information Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs). From May 2001 to December 2004, she served at the Embassy of Vietnam in the Russian Federation, focusing on foreign policy research and cultural-press affairs. In August 2009, she was appointed Deputy Director-General of the Press and Information Department.
From January 2012 to May 2015, she served as Minister Counselor, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Vietnam in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. From October 2015 to March 2017, she was appointed Acting Director-General, then Director-General of the Department of Information and Culture, State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs.
In April 2017, she became Director-General of the Press and Information Department, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In August 2021, she was appointed Assistant Minister, concurrently Director-General of the Press and Information Department, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On December 2, 2022, she was appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs by the Prime Minister.

Third-Class Labor Order for outstanding achievements in the preparation and successful organization of APEC Year 2017 events.

Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister for: contributions to serving ASEAN Year 2010; achievements in the preparation and successful organization of the second DPRK-USA Summit and the reception of the Chairman of the DPRK and the President of the USA in 2019; achievements in the protection of Vietnamese citizens and legal entities abroad in 2020; outstanding achievements during the ASEAN Chairmanship Year 2021.
