Deputy Minister Dang Hoang Giang
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dang Hoang Giang was born in 1977 in Hanoi. He is a veteran diplomat of numerous positions involving international integration, multilateral diplomacy, and development of the diplomatic service.
He is married with two children.

He started his career at the Department of Law and International Treaties under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2000. After five years, he was assigned to the Permanent Mission of Viet Nam to the United Nations (UN) in New York, the United States as an attaché. Following the conclusion of his term in 2007, he returned to Viet Nam and worked for a year at the Department of International Organizations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was later assigned to the Permanent Mission of Viet Nam to the UN in New York for a second term, then as First Secretary and Political Coordinator of Viet Nam at the United Nations Security Council.
Upon returning to Viet Nam in 2010, he was appointed Assistant to the Director General, first at the Department of International Organizations and then at the Office of the Ministry. At the Office of the Ministry, he was appointed Secretary of the Standing Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and later Secretary of the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
From 2012 to 2016, he was Deputy Director General and Deputy Chief of the Office of the Ministry, and later Director General at the Office, concurrently Secretary of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
In November 2016, he was appointed Director General and Chief of the Office of the Ministry. In December 2019, he was appointed by the Prime Minister as Assistant to the Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, concurrently Chief of Office of the Ministry.
In March 2021, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
From February 2022 to June 2025, He was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the United Nations.
On July 16, 2025, according to Decision No. 1545/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs
During his time working in the diplomatic sector, Deputy Minister Dang Hoang Giang was awarded the Third-class Labor Order, many certificates of merit from the Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Medal for the Diplomatic Cause, the Medal for the Cause of National Security, and many other noble rewards and titles
